Shen Zhuanghai, professor at Wuhan Universityās School of Marxism, highlighted recent initiatives like 'Internet Plus' and 'AI Plus' that fuse cultural development with digital tools. He argued that while technology has driven historic achievements, boosting the nationās digital literacy is now key to ensuring intelligent systems serve human creativity and the birth of new cultural expressions.
Gao Wen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, showcased how AI is bringing tradition to life. From dynamic interpretations of historical artifacts using image recognition to intelligent guided tours that let museum treasures 'speak,' these technologies are creating immersive narratives and safeguarding endangered heritage. Gao added that AI can help Chinese culture go global with translation algorithms and recommendation systems that tailor cultural content for audiences around the world.
The annual forum, hosted by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, features one main forum and ten sub-forums tackling topics from cultural confidence to digital empowerment. As this landmark event unfolds, participants aim to accelerate cultural innovation, enrich global exchanges and chart a path toward a shared future shaped by creativity and technology.
