A powerful mountain torrent struck Sanshe Village in Longsheng county, Guilin City, early Friday morning, sweeping through the rural community.
Local authorities report the death toll has risen to six after rescue teams recovered three additional bodies. Nine search and rescue teams are combing the area, and as of 6 p.m. Sunday, two residents remain missing amid high-intensity operations.
