The 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair opened Thursday in Shenzhen, in the Chinese mainland, unveiling an AI exhibition area for the first time. This new zone invites visitors to interact with robots, drones, smart glasses and earphones, showcasing the latest in artificial intelligence from 22 local tech innovators.
Spread across eight exhibition halls, three comprehensive spaces and five specialized areas—from international cultural trade and cultural tourism to film, gaming, art and intangible heritage—the five-day event blends tradition with cutting-edge tech. Over 120,000 cultural products are on display, while more than 4,000 investment and financing projects fuel industry growth.
Participation hit new highs with 6,280 government delegations, cultural institutions and enterprises joining online and offline—a rise of 265 from last year—and 3,300 exhibitors on-site. The fair's global appeal shines through its 305 overseas exhibitors from 65 countries and regions, and an expected 35,000 professional visitors from 110 countries and regions.
Since its launch in 2004, the fair has evolved into a leading cultural platform in the Chinese mainland, bridging creative industries and global audiences. As AI takes center stage this year, attendees get a firsthand look at how technology is shaping the future of culture and creativity.
