High-tech Expo in Beijing Unveils 1,200 Innovations for a Greener Future

Beijing on Thursday rolled out the red carpet for the 27th China Beijing International High-tech Expo, showcasing over 1,200 groundbreaking innovations across a sprawling 50,000 square meters. Under the theme "Science and Technology for A Better Future," the four-day event brings together more than 800 tech companies and research institutions from the Chinese mainland and abroad.

Visitors can explore six dynamic zones – information technology, intelligent manufacturing, medicine and health, carbon neutrality, the digital economy and regional innovation – each spotlighting next-gen solutions poised to reshape industries and societies.

On the sidelines, an investment and trade fair is sparking cross-border deals in intelligent manufacturing, green energy and more. Hundreds of business leaders and entrepreneurs are in talks to forge partnerships and sign agreements that could drive the next wave of global growth.

"We hope to expand our international reach in developed markets and East Asia through this expo," says Hu Fang, an exhibitor. "It's a great chance to connect with foreign partners and kick-start new collaborations."

For the first time, attendees can tap into a dedicated intellectual property service zone, offering tailored, market-driven support for innovators looking to protect and scale their ideas.

"Through exhibitions, promotions, negotiations and policy releases, we provide clear investment guidance for multinational companies, boost investor confidence and build a regular platform for government-enterprise exchanges," explains An Yongjun, director of the International Exhibition Department at the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council.

As the expo unfolds, young innovators, global investors and thought leaders alike are watching closely – this high-tech showcase promises fresh opportunities for sustainable development and digital transformation on the world stage.
