Origin Quantum Unveils Tianji 4.0 to Power 500+ Qubit Machines

Origin Quantum, a startup based in the eastern Chinese mainland city of Hefei, has unveiled its fourth-generation superconducting quantum measurement and control system—Origin Tianji 4.0. This \"nerve center\" for quantum computers can now support machines with over 500 qubits, pushing the boundaries of computing power and scalability.

Measurement and control systems act like air traffic controllers, generating and capturing precise signals that guide quantum chips. With enhancements in stability and automation, Tianji 4.0 streamlines the R&D process and cuts delivery times, says Kong Weicheng, deputy director of the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center and head of the system's development team.

Launched on January 6, Origin Wukong—an independently developed third-generation superconducting quantum computer on the Chinese mainland—has already handled more than 380,000 quantum tasks across industries like finance and biomedicine. Users from 139 countries and regions have accessed it over 26 million times, underscoring the global appetite for quantum solutions.

As quantum computers move from labs to real-world applications, systems like Tianji 4.0 will be critical in unlocking new breakthroughs. For entrepreneurs, researchers, and digital nomads alike, the era of practical quantum computing is drawing nearer—and industries worldwide are gearing up for the next wave of innovation.
