For patients in Hebei's rural counties, tele-consulting with PUMCH specialists was once a distant promise. Now, residents can book remote appointments in seconds, accessing expert diagnoses, online training and real-time case discussions without leaving their communities.
The Hebei provincial government's Beijing office played a key coordinating role, helping 20 local hospitals sign up at the launch event and securing the high-speed information-sharing infrastructure that powers seamless data exchange.
By integrating test results and exam data on a unified platform, the alliance cuts redundant procedures, lowers out-of-pocket costs and accelerates patient care—boosting efficiency across grassroots healthcare services.
Healthcare analysts say this model deepens medical reform and aligns with China's Healthy China strategy and the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei coordinated development plan, laying the groundwork for long-term talent training, joint research and collaborative discipline-building.
