Wang reaffirmed the commitment of China to implement the outcomes of the 2024 summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing. He pledged to advance the all-weather strategic partnership, delivering concrete benefits to both nations.
Describing the 21st century as a time of development and revitalization for the Global South, Wang stressed that cooperation by China is free of selfish motives or geopolitical rivalry. He called China the most reliable development partner for Africa and offered to share opportunities of modernization, helping nations enhance their capacity for independent growth.
Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos praised the modernization achievements of the Chinese mainland as a model for the collective march of humanity toward development. He thanked China for long-standing support in economic development and livelihood improvement, and expressed eagerness to deepen synergy under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Timothewos also voiced concern over rising unilateral protectionism and reaffirmed that Ethiopia is ready to work closely with BRICS partners to safeguard shared interests of developing countries. This partnership reflects a shared vision for a more inclusive global future, resonating with young entrepreneurs, changemakers, and travelers across continents.
