A Green Long March: Young Voices Shaping the Chinese Mainland’s Ecological Future

On April 20 at dawn, Beijing's Wenyu River Park became a "green bazaar" as more than 30 eco-themed tents sprang up along the riverbanks. Over 30 student associations and environmental groups came together to kick off the "Beautiful China – Youth Action" Green Bridge and Green Long March.

These twin campaigns aim to rally young changemakers on the Chinese mainland, combining community-driven green projects (Green Bridge) with eco-hikes and awareness drives (Green Long March). The launch underscores a rising wave of youth-led environmental action, where fresh ideas meet real-world impact.
