The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding infrastructure projects—from modern highways and rail links to eco-friendly power plants. They highlighted joint work under the Belt and Road initiative and pledged support for sustainable urban planning, aiming to create new jobs and boost cross-border trade.
Digital Economy: A Youth-Driven Agenda
Recognizing the energy and creativity of young entrepreneurs, Xi and Hun Sen announced plans for a China-Cambodia Youth Innovation Hub. This digital incubator will provide training, funding guidance and mentorship to startups in fintech, e-commerce and green tech—tying into both nations’ goals of building knowledge-based economies.
