The Hainan Expo, officially the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo, kicked off on April 13 and has already drawn over 4,100 brands from around the globe. Chinese robotics firm Unitree unveiled the G1—the first mass-produced humanoid robot in the Chinese mainland—equipped with 23 to 43 joint motors that power complex, dynamic movements. At the same time, Tesla demonstrated an upgraded humanoid robot whose enhanced technology boosts its upright walking speed by 30 percent, sparking the imagination of tech enthusiasts everywhere.
