Taiwan Question: FM Spokesperson Rejects External Interference

In a resolute address, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun reiterated that the Taiwan question is a matter of China's internal affairs, firmly rejecting all external interference. His remarks came after reports that the U.S., EU, Japan, and other international bodies commented on recent joint military exercises conducted by the People's Liberation Army near the island of Taiwan.

Guo explained that such criticisms mischaracterize the facts and intrude on China's internal affairs. He stressed that provocative actions and support for "Taiwan independence" by the Lai Ching-te authorities only serve to destabilize peace and security across the Taiwan Strait.

Emphasizing the government's stance, Guo stated, "As long as provocations for 'Taiwan independence' continue, our countermeasures will persist." He underlined that the joint military exercises are a firm response intended to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

This clear message invites young global citizens, business professionals, tech enthusiasts, and thought leaders to reflect on the importance of respecting internal affairs and upholding agreed international principles in our increasingly interconnected world.
