Wang Yi Hails China-Russia Ties as a Model for Global Cooperation

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a member of the CPC Political Bureau, recently praised the evolving China-Russia ties during his official visit to Russia. In an exclusive Moscow interview with Russia Today, he outlined how the relationship has grown into a unique model characterized by lasting friendship, equal treatment, and win-win cooperation.

Wang Yi emphasized that the two nations, each other's largest neighbor, have built deep trust over 70 years. Their cooperation, with a trade volume reaching approximately $244.8 billion, translates into tangible benefits—from Russian agricultural products reaching Chinese tables to Chinese vehicles making a mark in Russia.

Highlighting the diplomatic stance of non-alliance, non-confrontation, and not targeting any third party, Wang stressed that this partnership not only anchors both nations as permanent members of the UN Security Council but also bolsters global multipolarity and democratic engagement in international affairs.

His remarks coincided with the 80th anniversary of significant WWII victories, emphasizing how the joint legacy of overcoming past challenges underscores a commitment to international justice and peace.

Looking forward, Wang Yi indicated plans to further integrate initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative with the Russian-led Eurasian Economic Union, aiming to enhance industrial integration and maintain stable global supply chains. For a globally connected audience, this evolving cooperation offers fresh insights into international relations, economic growth, and shared responsibility for global stability.
