Associate Professor Liu Jincun from China Agricultural University explained, "These are the robotic tuna and robotic dolphin we developed. They represent different swimming characteristics, but their core purpose is the same โ to assist in fish farming." His teamโs work in underwater bionic robotics aims to reduce the strenuous tasks traditionally faced by fishermen.
Veteran team member Wei Yaoguang, with over 20 years of experience, recalled how divers once spent three to four days inspecting a 400-meter-diameter net cage at sea. "We want to make the work of fishermen less difficult," he noted, highlighting the transformative potential of this technology in cutting inspection times and reducing costs.
