China, Japan, ROK: Shaping a Stable Future Together

In Tokyo, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the enduring importance of close ties among China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (ROK) for a more secure and prosperous regional future. During a high-level meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and the foreign ministers from Japan and ROK, Wang Yi highlighted that decades of cooperation have yielded significant results and hold tremendous promise for navigating global uncertainties.

Referencing the age-old proverb, "A nearby neighbor is better than a distant relative," Wang underscored that strong regional partnerships are key in an ever-changing world. He pointed out that such cooperation not only deepens mutual understanding but also equips the region to respond collectively to emerging challenges.

Marking the 80th anniversary of a historic victory against aggressive forces, Wang reiterated that a balanced understanding of history and a commitment to multilateral engagement—upholding the core role of the United Nations—can pave the way for enhanced peace, economic resilience, and sustainable cooperation across the region.
