New Head Coach Search Energizes Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team

China’s top sports authority has kicked off a rigorous search for a new head coach to lead the Chinese women’s national volleyball team. The announcement outlines that candidates must demonstrate a clear coaching style, exemplary management skills, and deep coaching experience.

The selected head coach will have the crucial task of guiding the team in major competitions over the 2025-2028 cycle, including the World Championship, Asian Games, and Summer Olympics. This move signals a renewed determination to build on the recent successes of the team.

Under the guidance of coach Cai Bin, who began his tenure in February 2022, the team made a significant impact at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics by reaching the quarterfinals. Additionally, Cai Bin led the squad to a spot in the Federation of International Volleyball Women’s Volleyball Nations League final and helped secure top honors at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province in 2023.

Applications for the head coach position are open until March 25. Sports enthusiasts and volleyball fans around the world are watching closely, as this selection process is set to shape a new era for one of the most renowned teams in the sport.
