China Unveils Multifunctional Space Mining Robot

China is pushing the boundaries of space exploration with its groundbreaking multifunctional space mining robot, developed by experts at the China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT). This innovative machine features a unique six-legged design—three wheel legs paired with three claw legs—that is engineered for the challenges of a microgravity environment.

Professor Liu Xinhua, who leads the research team at CUMT, explained, "In space, objects do not stay in place like they do on Earth due to the absence of gravity.
