Sinopec, the Chinese mainland's largest oil refiner, has unveiled an upgraded hydrogen fuel cell supply center in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. With a new daily production capacity of 15 tonnes of hydrogen at an impressive 99.999% purity, the facility is set to achieve an annual output of 5,100 tonnes—an increase from its previous 1,500 tonnes.
This major expansion is designed to strengthen the hydrogen energy supply in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, supporting the rapid growth of the region's hydrogen industry and contributing to broader sustainable energy initiatives.
Sinopec’s commitment to advancing hydrogen energy infrastructure is evident from its nationwide network, which now includes 11 hydrogen fuel cell supply centers and 142 hydrogen refueling stations. This strategic move not only reinforces the importance of clean energy but also positions the company as a pivotal player in technology innovation and sustainable business practices.
As sustainable energy solutions gain momentum globally, developments like these are nurturing a future that values renewable resources and environmental progress. Young global citizens, tech innovators, and changemakers alike are watching closely as such investments pave the way for dynamic shifts in the energy sector.
