Chinese Foreign Minister Warns Against South China Sea Provocations

During a press conference on the sidelines of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing on Friday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi issued a stern warning regarding activities in the South China Sea.

Wang emphasized that any infringement and provocation in the region will ultimately backfire. "Infringement and provocation in the South China Sea will backfire and those acting as others' chess pieces are bound to be discarded," he stated.

The South China Sea has long been a hotspot for territorial disputes and strategic maneuvering among various nations. Wang's remarks underscore China's firm stance on safeguarding its interests and maintaining peace and stability in the area.

As global attention remains focused on the South China Sea, leaders and stakeholders are closely monitoring developments and responses to ensure a balanced and cooperative approach to the region's complexities.
