China Warns U.S. Against Pressures, Stresses Innovation

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has issued a stern warning to the United States, asserting that continued pressure and attempts to decouple will be met with resolute countermeasures. Speaking at a press conference during the third session of the 14th National People's Congress, Wang emphasized the importance of maintaining an open environment for innovation.

Wang stated, "High fences and small yards cannot suppress the spirit of innovation, and decoupling and supply chain disruption will only lead to self-isolation." He highlighted that efforts to disrupt the interconnected global supply chains would not only hinder technological advancements but also isolate China from the global market.

The Foreign Minister’s remarks come amid escalating technology competition between China and the U.S., where both nations vie for supremacy in emerging technologies. Wang’s comments underscore China’s commitment to fostering a resilient and innovative economy while cautioning against actions that could undermine collaborative growth.

By advocating for continued cooperation and open trade, Wang Yi positions China as a proponent of global innovation and economic integration, seeking to navigate the complexities of international relations in the tech sector.
