In recent years, elderly care in Sichuan Province, located in southwest China, has seen significant improvements, according to Gashi Wangmo, a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC).
Speaking at the Deputies' Corridor ahead of the third session of the NPC at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Wangmo highlighted the advancements made in providing comprehensive care for the aging population. Her insights come from her role as the director of an elderly care center in Barkam City, Sichuan Province.
The deputy emphasized the implementation of new programs and the enhancement of existing facilities, which have contributed to better quality of life for seniors in the region. These efforts reflect Sichuan's commitment to addressing the needs of its elderly residents through improved infrastructure and services.
