Beijing’s Nanchizi Museum is currently showcasing an innovative art piece that bridges the gap between ancient folklore and modern technology. Titled Shadow Lamp: In Front of the Mirror, the interactive installation by Chinese artist Li Hanxuan reimagines the legendary heroine Mu Guiying from the classic shadow play \"Mu Guiying Takes Command.\"

Utilizing state-of-the-art digital technology alongside traditional shadow puppetry, the installation depicts Mu Guiying’s intimate moment of reflection as she prepares to don her military armor.
