China has reiterated its commitment to data privacy and security during the third session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC). Lou Qinjian, spokesperson for the NPC, emphasized that these protections are in accordance with the law. He also stated that China opposes the overextension of the concept of national security and the politicization of economic and technological issues.
