China’s Top Political Advisory Body Concludes Session to Drive Modernization Goals

China's political advisory body, the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), concluded its tenth standing committee session on Sunday in Beijing.

Wang Huning, a prominent figure within the Communist Party of China and the chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, led the closing meeting. In his speech, Wang highlighted the Committee's focus on the central tasks set by the Party and the nation over the past year, noting significant progress across its various initiatives.

Looking ahead, Wang emphasized the role of the CPPCC in contributing to China's modernization by 2025. He stressed the importance of achieving the objectives and tasks outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan with high quality and efficiency.

Additionally, Wang encouraged efforts to ensure the smooth convening of the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee. During the session, key documents were adopted, including the draft agenda and schedule for the annual meeting, a work report from the Standing Committee, and a report detailing how proposals from political advisors have been addressed since the previous session.

These documents will be submitted to the upcoming third session for further review and action, setting the stage for continued progress in China's political advisory processes.
