A Chinese spokesperson on Thursday announced that preliminary plans and arrangements have been made for exchanges between the Chinese and U.S. militaries in the foreseeable future.
Wu Qian, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, stated during a press conference that the two sides maintain effective communication through military diplomatic channels, and relevant information will be released in due course.
\"We hope the U.S. will work with China toward common objectives, guided by the consensus between heads of state, to strengthen communication and dialogue,\" Wu added.
He expressed optimism that these efforts would help China-U.S. military-to-military relations get off to a good start and continue to grow further.
