Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the need for a fair and equitable global governance system and the promotion of a community with a shared future for mankind. Speaking during his visits to Britain and Ireland, the 61st Munich Security Conference in Germany, a high-level UN Security Council meeting in New York, and the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in South Africa, Wang highlighted China’s commitment to strengthening multilateralism.

As the world marks the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, Wang called for drawing wisdom from history to usher in a new era of multilateralism. He stressed that global governance is at a historical crossroads amid international transformations and challenges in peace, development, and governance.

During his tenure as the rotating president of the UN Security Council in February, China chaired a high-level meeting focused on practicing multilateralism and reforming global governance. Wang reaffirmed the indispensable role of the UN and the irreversible trend toward multilateral cooperation.

Addressing the Munich Security Conference, Wang acknowledged the complexities of the current global landscape but remained optimistic about the unstoppable trends of peace, development, and win-win cooperation. He underscored the historical shift toward multipolarity and economic globalization, positioning China as a steadfast constructive force in this evolving system.

Looking ahead to the G20 Summit in South Africa, Wang described it as an \"African moment\" for the group and global governance, highlighting the significance of Africa's voice in international cooperation. He reiterated China’s support for the South African presidency of the G20 and its commitment to themes of unity, equality, and sustainability to achieve common prosperity.
