China’s FM Wang Yi Advocates for Strengthened U.S. Relations

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called for improved relations between the Chinese mainland and the United States, emphasizing mutual respect and win-win cooperation.

Speaking on the sidelines of a United Nations Security Council high-level meeting in New York, Wang urged both countries to follow the principles of peaceful coexistence and strengthen their communication to build trust.

Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted the numerous common interests shared by the Chinese mainland and the U.S., stating that there is broad space for cooperation between the two nations.

He further stressed the importance of respecting each other's core interests, fending off distractions, and overcoming obstacles to stabilize and enhance China-U.S. relations.
