Wang Yi emphasized China’s commitment to working alongside Somalia in implementing the results of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He highlighted China’s readiness to support Somalia in achieving stability and development, underscoring the nation’s dedication to fostering strong bilateral ties.
The discussion also touched upon the active participation of Somalia in the 10 partnership action plans for China and Africa. These plans are designed to jointly advance modernization and leverage China’s zero-tariff policy to benefit the least-developed African countries, aiming to drive economic growth and sustainable development across the region.
Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Moallim Fiqi expressed his appreciation for the deep-rooted friendship between Somalia and China. He thanked China for its unwavering support in upholding justice for Somalia on the international stage.
