Sichuan Landslide Tragedy: 10 Dead, 19 Missing as Recovery Efforts Begin

A landslide in the southwest of China's Sichuan Province has tragically resulted in the loss of 10 lives, with 19 individuals still missing, and two injured as of Monday noon, according to local authorities.

The disaster struck Jinping Village in Junlian County, Yibin City, at 11:50 a.m. on February 8. Initially, local authorities reported one death and two injuries, along with 28 people missing.

In response to the tragedy, reconstruction and recovery efforts are being meticulously carried out to help restore normalcy for the affected residents.
