China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi is embarking on a significant diplomatic tour from February 12 to 21, engaging with key international forums and leaders across Europe and Africa.
Invited by UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and Ireland's Tánaiste Simon Harris, Wang Yi will visit the UK and Ireland. In the UK, he will co-chair the 10th China-UK Strategic Dialogue, fostering deeper ties and collaboration. His visit to Ireland includes robust discussions on foreign affairs and trade, highlighting China’s commitment to strengthening relationships within the region.
From February 12 to 17, Wang Yi will attend the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Germany. At the MSC, he is set to deliver remarks on China’s stance on major international issues, aligning with the conference’s theme of security and global cooperation.
As the rotating President of the UN Security Council for February, China will host a high-level event on February 18 in New York. Under the theme \"Practicing Multilateralism, Reforming and Improving Global Governance,\" Wang Yi will chair this pivotal event, emphasizing China’s role in shaping global policies and fostering international collaboration.
Continuing his global engagements, Wang Yi will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa, from February 20 to 21 to attend the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting. Invited by Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola of G20 President South Africa, this meeting will provide a platform for discussing critical economic and political issues affecting the world.
