The ninth Asian Winter Games are set to kick off in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, on February 7, coinciding with the vibrant celebrations of the Spring Festival. As the Year of the Snake approaches, participating athletes have extended their warmest wishes to fans and supporters via CGTN Sports Scene.

Prominent among the well-wishers are Winter Olympic champion short track speed skaters Liu Shaoang and Liu Shaolin, aerials skier Xu Mengtao, Olympic gold medalist speed skater Gao Tingyu, world champion short track speed skater Sun Long, world champion snowboarder Cai Xuetong, women's ice hockey national team captain Yu Baiwei, Olympic gold medalist speed skater Ning Zhongyan, his teammate Han Mei of China, and Kazakh short speed skater Abzal Azhgaliyev. Their messages not only wish a happy Chinese New Year but also convey their enthusiasm and readiness for the upcoming competitions.

China is assembling a formidable team of 170 athletes to compete across all 64 events at the Asian Winter Games. The team is scheduled to make their first appearance on February 4, marking the beginning of an intense and exciting competition season.
