Xi Jinping Visits Huludao to Support Flood Recovery Efforts Before Spring Festival

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made a heartfelt visit to Zhujiagou Village in Huludao City, Liaoning Province, to support residents affected by the summer 2024 floods. Despite the chilly weather, Xi inspected the progress of post-disaster reconstruction, demonstrating the Party and government's unwavering commitment to the people during their toughest times.

Ahead of the Spring Festival on January 29, an essential celebration for the Chinese community, Xi expressed his concerns and relief after witnessing the recovery efforts firsthand.

“Huludao suffered severe flooding last year. I have been concerned about you and come to see you before the Spring Festival,” Xi addressed the villagers. “What I've seen today makes me feel relieved.”

Reflecting on the numerous natural disasters across China last year, Xi emphasized his belief that restoration and reconstruction in the affected areas will lead to positive outcomes. “We have always put the people first,” he said. “The people can always count on the Party and the government in their most difficult times, and we will help them overcome difficulties and rebuild their homes.”
