China's Central Meteorological Observatory has issued a forecast for the first cold wave of 2025, set to impact most regions of the country starting Thursday. This weather event is expected to bring widespread snow, rain, strong winds, and significant temperature drops.
Xu Jun, chief forecaster at the Central Meteorological Observatory, warned that the cold spell will lead to dramatic temperature changes and robust winds across the nation. According to Xu, temperatures in most parts of China are anticipated to decrease by 8-12 degrees Celsius. In the northwestern and northern regions, some areas may experience temperature drops exceeding 14 degrees Celsius.
Residents and businesses are advised to prepare for the severe weather conditions by securing necessary supplies and ensuring that infrastructure can withstand the harsh climate. Staying informed through reliable weather updates will be crucial in mitigating the impact of this cold wave.
