China Media Group Finalizes Preparations for 2025 Spring Festival Gala

China Media Group (CMG) held the fourth and final rehearsal for the highly anticipated 2025 Spring Festival Gala on Wednesday, aiming to perfect the grand spectacle set to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.

The comprehensive rehearsal showcased a vibrant mix of singing, dancing, and traditional operas, with performers delivering outstanding and polished performances. The meticulous organization and seamless coordination highlighted the gala's commitment to excellence, fostering an atmosphere filled with joy, laughter, and the spirited essence of the Spring Festival.

Key highlights included an inspiring song about the strides of Chinese modernization performed by grassroots workers, a heartwarming melody enhanced by captivating visual effects, and traditional Chinese operas presented by both renowned artists and talented young apprentices.

Beyond the main venue in Beijing, the gala will also be featured in four additional locations across the country: Chongqing Municipality, Wuhan City in Hubei Province, Lhasa City in the Xizang Autonomous Region, and Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province, serving as sub-venues to bring the celebration closer to people nationwide.

Known locally as \"Chunwan,\" the Spring Festival Gala has been a beloved live broadcast event since 1983, symbolizing a major cultural celebration during the traditional Chinese New Year festivities. This year's edition, scheduled to air on January 28, marks the first since the Spring Festival's successful inclusion on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, underscoring its significance and cultural impact.
