Zhang Jiahao, often dubbed the \"snowboarding lunatic,\" has carved a unique path in the world of winter sports. Starting his journey as a baker at the Kempinski Hotel, Zhang discovered snowboarding at 17, igniting a passion that would define his life.

Three years ago, driven by ambition, Zhang embarked on a solo mission to qualify for the Beijing Winter Olympics. Although he fell short of this goal, his relentless spirit and dedication transformed him into one of China's most beloved winter sport athletes.

\"I didn't make it to the Winter Olympics, but then I realized something. I did something that everyone wants to do, but few have the courage to actually try,\" Zhang reflects on his journey as the National Snowboard Champion.

From his early days experimenting with snowboarding techniques alongside friends on platforms like Youku, to overcoming numerous injuries, Zhang's resilience has been unwavering. His shift to freeride snowboarding and participation in the Freeride World Tour (FWT) opened new avenues, keeping his Olympic dreams alive.

Beyond competition, Zhang embraces mountain skiing, pushing his endurance to new limits. \"It's about pursuing what you love, achieving your goals step by step, and enjoying the process,\" he shares.
