In a significant move to bolster regional ties, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of deepening the strategic partnership between China and Vietnam during the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

Xi, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, conveyed his commitment to enhancing mutual trust and practical cooperation with Vietnamese leaders. Speaking to General Secretary To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, Xi highlighted the enduring friendship that has seen both nations support each other in their quests for national independence and liberation over the past seven and a half decades.

\"The friendship between Vietnam and China is profound, as we are comrades and brothers,\" Xi remarked, underscoring the strong bond that has defined the relations between the two parties and countries.

Reflecting on his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi noted the pledges made to advance a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, elevating bilateral relations to new heights. He stressed that as the world undergoes unprecedented changes, the continued collaboration between China and Vietnam on the path of socialism holds significant implications not only for their own futures but also for regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity.
