Swift Chinese Navy Rescue Saves Fisherman Near Huangyan Dao

A Chinese fisherman experienced a sudden gastric hemorrhage while aboard his vessel near Huangyan Dao, prompting an immediate response from the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy.

During a routine mission in the surrounding waters, the fisherman fell seriously ill, necessitating urgent medical assistance. Wu Qian, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, confirmed that PLA Navy personnel acted swiftly, relocating the distressed fisherman to a safer location.

Subsequently, the injured fisherman was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in Sansha City, located in Hainan Province. Thanks to the prompt intervention and medical care, he has fully recovered and was discharged in stable condition.

Wu emphasized that the Chinese military remains dedicated to contributing positively to the peace and stability of the South China Sea, ensuring the safety and well-being of those in the region.
