CMG Prepares for Global 2025 Spring Festival Gala with Diverse Sub-Venues

China Media Group (CMG) is gearing up for its highly anticipated 2025 Spring Festival Gala, set to air globally on January 28, the eve of the Chinese New Year. The third rehearsal, held on Friday, showcased the gala's vibrant and diverse performances.

This latest rehearsal marked the debut of four sub-venues in Chongqing, Wuhan, Lhasa, and Wuxi. Each location brought its unique flavor to the stage, featuring a mix of singing, dancing, magic, martial arts, and innovative performances. The transitions and arrangements between acts were notably smoother, enhancing the overall flow of the show.

The Chongqing sub-venue highlighted songs and dances with distinctive local characteristics, while Wuhan incorporated new opera, acrobatics, folk music, and classic intellectual properties from films and television. In Wuxi, traditional music was seamlessly connected with scene interpretations, showcasing both historical context and modern civilization. The Lhasa venue featured authentic ethnic performances that celebrated the friendship among various ethnic groups.

In addition to the rehearsals, CGTN launched an interactive event named \"Snake Year Dance Fun\" on global social media platforms. This initiative has already seen active participation from netizens across 42 countries and regions, fostering a worldwide connection through dance.

Looking ahead, CMG plans to roll out a series of events, including art performances, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and program broadcasts. These initiatives aim to immerse overseas audiences in the vibrant atmosphere of the Spring Festival and the rich charm of Chinese culture.

The first event in this series was successfully held in New York on Thursday and is set to expand to other countries, including Kenya, Spain, Brazil, Australia, France, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates.
