Taiwan Youth Kick Off Winter Camp in Beijing: Embracing Culture and Ice Sports

A winter camp for the youth of Taiwan opened its doors in Beijing on Tuesday, welcoming approximately 300 participants to the inaugural ceremony and a cross-Straits youth gala.

The campers will engage in a variety of specialized activities, including ice and snow sports, exploring New Year's customs, and delving into the history and culture of 17 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities such as Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Chongqing, Gansu, Ningxia, and Xinjiang.

On the first day, the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots hosted cultural lectures and facilitated cross-Straits youth film exchanges at renowned institutions like Peking University and the Beijing Film Academy.

Throughout their stay, the participants will have the opportunity to visit significant historical sites and cultural landmarks, including the Palace Museum, the Badaling Great Wall, and the National Museum of China, fostering a deeper understanding of Chinese heritage and traditions.
