Shanghai Sharks Dominate CBA with 15th Straight Victory

The Shanghai Sharks continued their impressive run in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), securing their 15th consecutive win with a commanding 112-81 victory over the Guangzhou Loong Lions at home on Friday.

The game kicked off with Li Tianrong assisting Li Hongquan for an early layup, giving Shanghai an 11-5 lead. Despite a strong comeback from Guangzhou, led by Yuan Zhaoyao's three-pointer that briefly put them ahead by five, Shanghai reasserted their dominance in the second half.

Kenneth Lofton Jr. played a pivotal role, converting a second-chance layup to tie the score at 63-63. The former NBA forward further contributed by connecting with Wang Zhelin, whose layup extended Shanghai's lead to two points. Li Tianrong's corner triple boosted the Sharks' advantage to 23 before Eric Bledsoe took over, scoring a career-high 31 points.

Yuan Tangwen's long-distance three-pointer increased Shanghai's lead to 27, ultimately securing a 31-point victory. This remarkable streak places the Sharks in 12th position in the league standings, highlighting their resilience and team spirit.

In other CBA action, the Guangsha Lions, currently first in the standings, triumphed over the Shanxi Loongs with a score of 111-78. Brandon Goodwin initially gave Shanxi momentum with two early layups, but the Lions, led by Barry Brown Jr.'s outstanding performance of 38 points and seven three-pointers, pulled away decisively.

Sun Minghui also made significant contributions, setting up key plays that helped Guangsha maintain control, leading to a 33-point victory. This win marks Guangsha's sixth straight and 16th consecutive home win, solidifying their top position in the league.
