Chinese Actor Rescued from Human Trafficking in Thailand, Set to Return Home

A Chinese actor, Wang Xing, who was reported missing near the Thailand-Myanmar border over the weekend, has been confirmed as a victim of human trafficking by the Royal Thai Police. Inspector-General Tatchai Pitaneelaboot announced on Wednesday that Wang will be deported back to China within the next one or two days.

According to Tatchai, Wang was deceived by a scam offering an acting opportunity in Thailand. He only realized it was a trap after finding himself in a neighboring country. The Thai authorities are committed to protecting Wang and ensuring his safe return, coordinating closely with the Chinese Embassy in Thailand.

Wang went missing on Sunday and was rescued on Tuesday. The Chinese Consulate General in Chiang Mai confirmed that Thailand's Tak Immigration Office had taken custody of Wang and is conducting necessary inquiries. This incident has garnered significant public attention and concern in both China and Thailand.
