China’s Special Envoy Attends Ghana President’s Inauguration, Boosting Bilateral Ties

In a significant gesture of enduring friendship, China's special envoy Hao Mingjin attended the inauguration ceremony of Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama in Accra, Ghana, on Tuesday.

Following the ceremony, President Mahama met with Hao Mingjin, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, to discuss the future of bilateral relations. During their meeting, Hao conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes from Chinese premier Xi Jinping to President Mahama.

Highlighting the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Ghana, Hao emphasized China's commitment to strengthening ties from a strategic and long-term perspective. He outlined plans to enhance communication within the frameworks of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, aiming to elevate the China-Ghana strategic partnership to new heights.

President Mahama expressed his gratitude for the presence of China's special envoy at his inauguration and praised the achievements in Ghana-China relations. He reaffirmed his government's dedication to deepening pragmatic cooperation with China across various sectors to further advance bilateral ties.
