In a significant gesture of enduring friendship, China's special envoy Hao Mingjin attended the inauguration ceremony of Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama in Accra, Ghana, on Tuesday.
Following the ceremony, President Mahama met with Hao Mingjin, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, to discuss the future of bilateral relations. During their meeting, Hao conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes from Chinese premier Xi Jinping to President Mahama.
Highlighting the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Ghana, Hao emphasized China's commitment to strengthening ties from a strategic and long-term perspective.
