In response to the devastating magnitude-6.8 earthquake that hit Dingri County in Xigaze City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, President Xi Jinping has mandated comprehensive rescue operations to save lives and reduce casualties.
Xi, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized the importance of treating the injured with utmost priority.
