China and Peru Strengthen Legislative Ties in Beijing Summit

In a significant move towards enhancing bilateral relations, Zhao Leji, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee of China, met with Eduardo Salhuana, President of the Congress of Peru, in Beijing on Monday.

The discussions centered on implementing key outcomes from recent heads-of-state diplomacy, advancing the China-Peru comprehensive strategic partnership, and delivering greater benefits to both nations and their peoples.

Zhao emphasized the shared aspiration of deepening friendly cooperation between China and Peru, highlighting the role of legislative bodies in fostering steady and long-term bilateral relations.

The NPC of China expressed readiness to collaborate with Peru's Congress in strengthening exchanges among high-level officials, special committees, and bilateral friendship groups.
