China Commits to Namibia’s Modernization Drive

China is set to bolster Namibia's modernization efforts, announcing collaboration to implement the 10 partnership actions outlined at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing Summit held in Namibia. During a meeting in Swakopmund, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized China's commitment to accelerating Namibia's development.

Highlighting the strong China-Africa friendship, Wang Yi reiterated that China will continue the tradition of commencing its year-round overseas visits with a focus on Africa. Currently on a week-long tour, Wang Yi is visiting four African nations: Namibia, the Republic of the Congo, Chad, and Nigeria, aiming to strengthen ties and support regional modernization initiatives.
