Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), extended his New Year greetings to China Media Group (CMG) and all its staff on Tuesday.
In his message, Bach congratulated CMG on the release of its 2025 sports events resources and the launch of a special program aimed at promoting mass sports events, fostering national fitness, and advocating scientific exercise.
Bach highlighted that for decades, CMG has been a valuable partner of the IOC, inspiring hundreds of millions of people in the Chinese mainland and setting industry benchmarks for Olympic broadcasting. He expressed pride in the ongoing collaboration between the IOC and CMG and looked forward to new cooperative ventures.
As his term as IOC president comes to an end, Bach expressed his gratitude for a decade of collaboration and friendship with CMG. He emphasized that the power of sport has the ability to make the world a better place and expressed hope that CMG will continue to support his successor in their shared mission to enhance global well-being through sports.
