Xi Jinping Honors Outstanding Retired Officials at Beijing Ceremony

Chinese President Xi Jinping recently gathered with esteemed retired officials and distinguished groups to honor their exemplary contributions. The meeting, held at the iconic Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday, celebrated the dedication and outstanding service of 150 groups and 450 individuals recognized as model retirees.

In his heartfelt address, Xi, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, extended his congratulations to the awardees. He emphasized the importance of upholding the glorious traditions and maintaining unwavering political integrity. Xi encouraged the retirees to continue contributing to China's strength and the nation's rejuvenation through the ongoing journey of Chinese modernization.

Prominent figures such as Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and member of the Secretariat, and Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, also a member of the Political Bureau's Standing Committee, were present at the event. Additionally, Li Ganjie, head of the CPC Central Committee's Organization Department and a member of the Political Bureau, attended the ceremony and delivered remarks to the honorees.

This gathering not only honored the past achievements of these distinguished retirees but also reinforced the commitment to future growth and prosperity under China's modernizing trajectory.
