Team Michael Chang Triumphs at MGM Macau Tennis Masters

In a thrilling showdown, Team Michael Chang emerged victorious over Team Li Na with an 11-6 score at the MGM Macau Tennis Masters held in the Macao Special Administrative Region on Wednesday.

Entering the second day with a narrow 4-3 lead, Chang's team showcased their prowess across four intense events. The first event, a captain challenge match, saw Chang secure a crucial point, pushing their lead to 5-3.

Next, Chang strategically paired Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic against China's Wang Xinyu. Muchova dominated the first set 6-3 and overcame three set points to win the second set 7-5, broadening Team Chang's advantage to 8-3.

The momentum continued as Andrey Rublev of Russia faced Norway's Casper Ruud in the men's singles. Rublev delivered a strong performance, defeating Ruud 6-4, 7-5, marking the third consecutive win for Chang's team.

In the final match, 19-year-old Shang Juncheng took on Japanese veteran Kei Nishikori. Shang secured a straight-set victory of 6-3, 6-4, culminating in Team Michael Chang's overall triumph with an 11-6 score.

This victory highlights the strategic depth and competitive spirit of Team Michael Chang, making them the champions of this year's MGM Macau Tennis Masters.
