The recent drop in temperatures has created a picturesque winter scene for over 100 Siberian tigers at the Guaipo Siberian Tiger Park in Shenyang City, northeast China's Liaoning Province.
These magnificent creatures are embracing the snowy landscape by playing in the snow, strolling through forested areas, and gathering around trees to stay warm. The cold weather has provided the perfect backdrop for the tigers to engage in their natural behaviors.
Behind the scenes, dedicated zookeepers have taken extra measures to ensure the tigers remain comfortable during the chilly months. They have enhanced the tigers' diets with additional meat, including beef and pork, to help them withstand the cold. Additionally, dried straws are regularly placed in the outdoor enclosures to provide extra insulation, keeping the tigers cozy despite the wet and cold conditions.
\"As it's cold in winter, we have added more meat to the tigers' diets, such as beef and pork, to help them resist the cold. As it's also wet in winter, we have also been putting dried straws on the outdoor enclosure on a regular basis, which can help protect the tigers from the cold and keep them warm,\" explained Song Haishan, a zookeeper.
The efforts of the zookeepers are clearly appreciated by the tigers, who can often be seen lounging on the straws while basking in the winter sun.
