The 14th National People's Congress (NPC) will convene its third annual session in Beijing on March 5, 2025, as decided by the NPC Standing Committee on Wednesday.
The decision was reached at the conclusion of an NPC Standing Committee session held from Saturday to Wednesday.
The agenda for this year's session includes a review of the government work report and an examination of the implementation report for the 2024 national economic and social development plan, as well as the draft for 2025.
Additionally, the session is expected to assess the implementation of the central and local budgets for 2024 and review the drafts for 2025 budgets.
Lawmakers will also deliberate on a draft amendment to the Law on Deputies to the National People's Congress and Local People's Congresses at Various Levels, along with reviewing the work reports of the NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
