The 2024 Conference of China Public Relations for Development convened in Beijing on Saturday, bringing together public relations experts and AI specialists to explore innovative strategies for enhancing social governance.

Guo Weiming, president of the China Public Relations Association (CPRA), underscored the critical role of public relations in the modernization of social governance. \"Public relations is both a management and communication discipline that is essential for implementing the new development concept,\" Guo stated. He emphasized the importance of leveraging public relations to advance high-quality development and promote openness, building social consensus, and fostering a positive external environment.

Addressing the intersection of artificial intelligence and social governance, Jiang Tao, co-founder and senior vice president of iFLYTEK, highlighted the dual nature of AI's impact. \"AI presents both opportunities and challenges to public relations and social governance,\" Jiang noted. He advocated for the use of next-generation AI technologies to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and transparency, ultimately improving the overall well-being of society.

Wang Yiming, vice chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, discussed the rapid advancements in technologies such as AI and \"5G+ industrial Internet.\" These technologies have accelerated development and given rise to new industries like intelligent manufacturing, acting as transformative forces driving productivity. Wang called for the cultivation of digital economy industries, strategic planning for future sectors, and the integration of digital intelligent technologies to modernize traditional industries and digital infrastructure.

The conference also showcased outstanding public relations cases and demonstration projects slated for 2024, reflecting the industry's commitment to innovation and excellence in social governance.
